Alix Armstrong
Alix is a passionate paediatric occupational therapist with experience in working with children from 0 -12 years. Her area of focus is to support neurodiverse children, particularly those with diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Intellectual Disability, to increase their participation in their daily routines. She also has a special interest in infant and toddler development.
Alix holds a bachelor’s degree of Occupational Therapy, as well as a Graduate Certificate of Applied Mental Health Studies (Child and Youth). She is an AHRPA registered Occupational Therapist and member of Occupational Therapy Australia. Driven by a thirst for knowledge in all things development, she has completed a wide range of professional development courses, including DIR- Floortime certificate and Ayres Sensory Integration modules. As a paediatric occupational therapist her goals include creating a safe therapeutic alliance with children and families, and offering support to improve and develop children’s skills in the following areas

- Handwriting and prewriting
- Self Regulation
- Sensory Processing
Alix uses a strengths-based approach to therapy and a family-centred model of care. She enjoys working with other health, medical and education specialists to ensure she delivers a holistic service to the families she supports.
