SOZO Measurement
Our SOZO bioimpedance spectroscopy device is a advanced body analysis scale that measures extracellular and intracellular fluid within your body. This technology enables early detection of fluid accumulation which has been statistically shown to reduce the incidence of lymphodema up to 10 months before symptoms arise.
The SOZO device measures your fluid by passing a frequency through the body via a pain-free electrical signal. It is able to detect fluid changes as minute as 2 tablespoons and takes approximately 1-2 minutes to complete at your consultation.
Completing a SOZO measurement provides an enormous range of benefits and gives us valuable information which we would utilise as a baseline measure, which we would then be able to compare your results over the course of your treatment. Specific measurements the SOZO provides are:
- Total body water
- Extracellular fluid
- Intracellular fluid
- Fat mass
- Fat-free mass
- Active tissue mass
- Skeletal muscle mass
- Protein and mineral
- Basal metabolic rate
- Body mass index
- Hydration analysis
Who would receive this measure?
Those suffering from lymphedema or cancer the SOZO provides an abundance of information in early detection, in-treatment progress and post-treatment comparison figures.
Additionally anyone interested in knowing their detailed body composition and comparing this pre and post training programs.
