Welcome to Alara Women’s Health and Central Coast Physiolates. We are an integrated team of dedicated female practitioners, specializing in supporting women to understand, address, and navigate the unique physical and mental challenges they face throughout their lifetime.
With our diverse expertise, we provide holistic care in pelvic floor health (including pregnancy, post natal, sexual pain and peri menopause), orthopaedic physiotherapy, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, support for women affected by breast and pelvic cancers, lymphoedema, and long-term support for neurological conditions such as MS, stroke, and other neurological disorders.
Our goal is to enhance mobility, strength, and overall quality of life through personalized clinic sessions and tailored exercise programs.
With over 80 years of combined experience, our team of Physiotherapists, Osteopath, Exercise Physiologist, Massage Therapists, and Movement Instructors is committed to educating, treating, and fostering sustainable health habits for long-term well-being.
Founded in 2012 by Physiotherapist, Tara McKenzie, Alara Women’s Health / Central Coast Physiolates empowers women of all ages, fitness levels and stages in life with clinical treatment skills, postural awareness, education, and functional movement training.
Why Physiolates?
As the name implies, Alara Women’s Health / Central Coast Physiolates combines Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates. Physio Pilates builds core strength incorporating the pelvic floor and diaphram, it improves spinal stability and postural awareness. Our programs are designed to educate you about your body based on your needs. We also use our knowledge of other movement training programmes such as Strength and Conditioning and sport specific re-education programs post injury or post-natal.
