Alara Women’s Health / Central Coast Physiolates (CCPL) brings together a team of specialist female integrative health and wellbeing practitioners who work closely with each other and their clients to help them achieve optimal health and maintain it on the Central Coast. 

The team at Alara happily work with the medical specialists, Allied Health Professionals and Health coaches on the Coast.  We support working together as part of a Health Care team approach to facilitate a flow on effect between health care to ongoing healthy habits. Located in both Holgate and Tuggerah with onsite Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Massage Therapists, Acupuncturists, a Midwife, a Paediatric Osteopath, a Dietitian and Pilates instructors. All our practitioners specialise in Women’s Health.

Founded in 2012 by Physiotherapist, Tara McKenzie, Alara Women’s Health / Central Coast Physiolates empowers women of all ages, fitness levels and stages in life with clinical treatment skills, postural awareness, education, and functional movement training.

Tara is one of only a small number of Women’s Health Physiotherapists on the Central Coast.  She is an avid learner whose interests lie in ALL things that can affect women in their lifetime.  She has completed postgraduate studies in pelvic health, lymphoedema and cancer rehabilitation.  She is passionate about her work and the work of her equally dedicated team because she knows that quality care makes such a difference in the lives of her patients.

Why Physiolates?

As the name implies, Alara Women’s Health / Central Coast Physiolates combines Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates. Physio Pilates builds core strength incorporating the pelvic floor and diaphram, it improves spinal stability and postural awareness. Our programs are designed to educate you about your body based on your needs. We also use our knowledge of other movement training programmes such as Strength and Conditioning and sport specific re-education programs post injury or post-natal.
