Our Story
In 2012, Physiotherapist Tara McKenzie founded and established Central Coast Physiolates, beginning with a modest space within a wellness clinic in Erina.
By 2016, driven by her vision to empower women through movement in the women’s health space, Tara McKenzie relocated Central Coast Physiolates to a larger, dedicated clinic in Holgate. This expansion provided the space to integrate movement alongside hands-on clinical treatments, allowing her to further educate women on developing positive, long-term movement habits. The following year, the team at Central Coast Physiolates grew with the addition of our Exercise Physiologist Nicole Syphers and Remedial Massage Therapist Alison Edge, marking the start of the clinic’s comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to women’s health wellness.
The established reputation of Central Coast Physiolates led to further growth in 2022, with Tara McKenzie and Alison Edge opening Alara Women’s Health in Tuggerah. This expansion brought the core philosophy and trusted approach of Central Coast Physiolates to a wider audience, furthering their commitment to women’s well-being across all stages of life within the Tuggerah community.
Central Coast Physiolates, under Tara McKenzie’s direction, is dedicated to supporting women through various life stages, including menarche, pregnancy, postnatal recovery, menopause, and healthy aging. Our clinicians offer care for a wide range of conditions, from musculoskeletal issues and pelvic dysfunction to recovery from different types of cancer and neurological conditions.
Tara McKenzie’s vision for Central Coast Physiolates clinics involves a comprehensive approach combining hands-on clinical expertise with movement-based therapy.
