Exercise physiology is the first step when it comes to supporting someone with cerebral palsy. Exercise is beneficial in all people, however especially important in those with cerebral palsy. There are many ways its important from keeping the body moving, flexible and strong to prevention of injury and improving psychological health, it has its role for everyone.
The main goal of exercise physiology is to make movement easier and more efficient. The ways we would work on this is by identifying area’s and addressing coordination, flexibility, mobility, balance, strength and posture. We would focus on gait retraining and pain management strategies to ensure you are able to continue your normal activities and improve your overall health and wellbeing.
